At Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital we understand that having visitors is an important part of ensuring the well-being and recovery of our patients.

General visiting hours

Visiting hours at Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital are from 11am – 8pm, with a rest period between 12pm – 2.30pm

Birchall Meares Women’s Health and Postnatal Unit visiting hours

Visiting isiting hours are from 11am – 8pm, with a rest period between 12pm – 2.30pm

Partners may visit at any time.

On some wards you will need to check with nursing staff before visiting.

High Dependency Unit

Arrangements to visit patients in this area are made in consultation with the nursing staff and are usually restricted to immediate family.

Visiting time in Intensive Care are between 11am – 2pm and 4pm – 8pm.

Patients who are critically ill need rest. It is best that only immediate family visit, and for short periods of time. Only 2 visitors may be at the bedside at any one time. Please note there is a patient rest period between 2pm – 4pm.

Overnight stays

At particular times during a patient’s stay, it may be appropriate for a family member, close friend or carer to stay overnight. Please discuss this with the ward Nurse Consultant or Midwife Consultant.
