Calvary launches Cally to help staff spend more time delivering care
Secure digital assistant gives 20,000 staff and volunteers faster access to trusted information and workplace support.

Calvary Health Care has launched Cally, a secure digital assistant designed to give its 20,000 staff and volunteers faster, easier access to trusted information and workplace support.
By helping employees find information quickly and complete routine tasks more efficiently, Cally enables more time to be spent delivering care to patients, residents and clients.
Cally forms part of Calvary’s broader digital transformation program and reflects the organisation’s commitment to providing its people with modern, secure and user-friendly technology.
Calvary’s Chief Digital Information Officer John Sutherland said the launch of Cally marks an important milestone for the organisation.
“As a healthcare organisation, our focus will always be on people. Technology should support the human experience of care, not replace it,” Mr Sutherland said.
“Cally represents an opportunity to use artificial intelligence in a practical, secure and responsible way that supports our workforce, reduces administrative burden and helps our teams spend more time delivering care.”
Designed to be intuitive and easy to use, Cally makes workplace information and support more accessible to Calvary’s diverse workforce, including through support in more than 60 languages.
In its initial release, Cally provides AI-enabled assistance and access to workplace information across Calvary’s services, including Hospitals, Aged Care and Retirement Living.
Additional features will be introduced over time, informed by feedback from frontline teams and other users across the organisation.
Head of Home Care Ravi Sharma said Cally was designed to help employees access the information they need, when they need it.
“By simplifying access to information and workplace resources, Cally can reduce administrative effort and give our teams more time and confidence to focus on what matters most: caring for our patients, residents and clients,” Mr Sharma said.
Built on strong governance, security and user experience principles, Cally is being rolled out in phases to support safe and effective adoption.
As the platform evolves, it is expected to play an increasingly important role in connecting employees with workforce information, digital services and AI-enabled support across Calvary.
