We offer a range of amenities at Calvary St John’s Hospital including:

Calvary St John’s Hospital has been designed so that everyone can easily access our facilities, using inclined walkways and ramps throughout. All levels of our hospital are accessible by lifts.

We have clear, straightforward signage throughout the hospital to make it easier to find your way around. The signage uses contrasting colours to help people with impaired vision.

Wheelchairs are available for use while at the hospital. If you need a wheelchair,  we will provide you with one on Admission or you can get help at the main reception area.

If you’re in the car park and need a wheelchair, or assistance getting to or from your appointment contact reception on 03 6223 7444 for help.

We provide all patients with free to air television / radio  at their bedside and there’s no charge for this service.

The Hospital Kiosk is located on the ground floor of Calvary St John’s Hospital.

 Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, closed weekends and public holidays

The chapel at Calvary St John’s Hospital is open at all times, and provides a calm and restful environment for all patients and visitors. People of all faiths and none can visit the Chapel.

Mass for Catholics is celebrated on Fridays at 10am and an Anglican Eucharist is celebrated every Wednesday at 12 O’clock.

The outdoor area attached to Gibson has lovely park benches and a wonderful and calm outlook. Please feel free to use this space.

Flowers are available for puchase from the Hospital Kiosk on the ground floor.

Free magazines are available via our magazine volunteers.

You can buy newspapers and magazines at The Hospital Kiosk.

At Calvary St John’s Hospital we offer compassionate emotional support and spiritual care for you, your family and friends. Our Pastoral Care Program acknowledges your beliefs, important relationships and all that is meaningful for you. It affirms your intrinsic value as a person.

Calvary St John’s Hospital have Pastoral Carer staff on call 24 x 7 to ensure that we can provide emotional and spiritual care to all the people we serve as required.

Pastoral Care can help if you are:

  • Suffering anxiety or emotional distress
  • Experiencing a time of crisis
  • Feeling lonely or isolated
  • Grieving a loss
  • Making important decisions
  • Needing support with your religious/spiritual practice
  • Preparing for death

If you would like a visit from Pastoral Care please ask a staff member.

The dispensing pharmacy for Calvary St John’s Hospital is located at Calvary Lenah Valley Hospital and they will provide discharged patients with a short supply of their prescribed medications.

The pharmacy is owned and operated by HPS Pharmacies.

Patients may use their mobile phone while at Calvary St John’s Hospital. Please be considerate of other patients and keep call volume, duration and frequency to a minimum.

A post box is located outside the main entrance of Calvary St John’s reception. The post box is cleared daily.

We provide all patients with free-to-air televisions at their bedside. There’s no charge for this service.

A vending machine is located on the Ground Floor near Simpson Unit.

There are a range of visitor lounges available on each floor. Please ask staff to direct you to these areas.

Free Wi-Fi is available for all patients. We also offer a complimentary 2 hour access to the Wi-Fi for visitors.
