At Calvary North Adelaide Hospital we understand that having visitors is an important part of ensuring the well-being and recovery of our patients.
General visiting hours
Visiting hours at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital are from 10am – 8pm.
We encourage visitors to our patients and have flexible visiting hours. The number of visitors and time of visiting may be restricted at the discretion of the nursing staff depending upon your clinical requirements and consideration of other patients in the area.
In the best interest of your recovery we encourage you to enjoy our hospital quiet time between 1pm – 3pm each afternoon. Visitors may be restricted during this period.
Maternity visiting hours
Visiting hours for our Maternity ward are from 3pm – 4.30pm and 7pm – 8pm.
We encourage a rest period between 12pm – 3pm.
Partners may visit at any time.
Mary Potter Hospice visiting hours
Quiet time is between 1pm and 2pm each afternoon.
Visitors may be restricted during this period.
Intensive Care Unit
Arrangements to visit patients in this area are made in consultation with the nursing staff and are usually restricted to immediate family.
Visiting time in Intensive Care are between 11am – 2pm and 4pm – 8pm.
Patients who are critically ill need rest. It is best that only immediate family visit, and for short periods of time. Only 2 visitors may be at the bedside at any one time. Please note there is a patient rest period between 2pm – 4pm.
At particular times during a patient’s stay, it may be appropriate for a family member, close friend or carer to stay overnight. Please discuss this with the ward team leader or clinical manager.
