Seniors Week NSW runs from Friday 3 March – Sunday 12 March 2017 and Calvary Cessnock’s Open Day will anchor the celebrations throughout the Cessnock community. Presented by the Department of Family and Community Services (FACS), NSW Seniors Week is designed to celebrate the role seniors play and the contributions they make to the NSW community. For more information on Seniors Week please visit www.nswseniorsweek.com.au.
The Open Day will feature markets, a vintage car display and a family and carer’s expo. There will be a variety of stallholders including handmade crafts, a BBQ, a cake store as well as senior specific stalls. We will also have special guest appearances from Senior Citizen of the Year Ron Jackson as well as involvement from the local football club and the local fire brigade.
The Open Day is a family friendly event with plenty for the kids to do with a jumping castle, face painting and entertainment.
We are also still looking for more stalls including crafts and food vendors to accompany our Open Day. It is only $20 to hold a stall. You will need liability insurance. Applications close Friday 24 February 2017.
