Calvary Health Care

Calvary acknowledges the Traditional Custodians and Owners of the lands on which all our services operate. We recognise that these Custodians have walked upon and cared for these lands for thousands of years. We acknowledge the continued deep spiritual attachment and relationship of First Nations peoples to this country and commit ourselves to the ongoing journey of Reconciliation.

Expectations when entering a Calvary site

At Calvary, we’re committed to creating an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued. Whether you're visiting a Calvary site, receiving care, residing with us, or attending your place of work, your wellbeing and privacy are our highest priorities.
Guided by our core values of Hospitality, Healing, Stewardship, and Respect, we kindly ask that all individuals entering our premises acknowledge and agree to the following principles of conduct.
These guidelines help us maintain the supportive and compassionate atmosphere that defines our community.

Offensive behaviour will not be tolerated

All patients, residents, visitors and staff have a right to feel safe and to be treated with respect while attending or residing at a Calvary site.
Calvary will not tolerate bullying, sexual harassment, discrimination or offensive behaviour in any form. This includes:
  • Inappropriate or offensive language
  • Disorderly, offensive, or intimidating behaviour
  • Threatening or violent behaviour, whether verbal or physical
  • Behaviour that interferes with the operation of the site or provision of care

Filming/photography restrictions

All patients, residents, visitors and staff have a right to privacy while at a Calvary site. This means that photography, filming or audio recording within a site is strictly prohibited, unless prior written consent has been obtained from the Manager of the site and all individuals being photographed, filmed or recorded have also been made aware and have consented
We value and protect the privacy of everyone in our community—patients, residents, visitors, and staff alike. To safeguard this fundamental right, photography, filming or audio recording within a Calvary site is strictly prohibited, unless:
  • Prior written consent has been obtained from the site’s Manager (e.g. Home Manager, General Manager), and;
  • All individuals being photographed, filmed or recorded have provided explicit consent.

Surveillance systems

For your safety and security, we maintain CCTV at some of our sites. These systems are all installed and managed by Calvary to ensure they're used appropriately and responsibly. All Calvary locations where CCTV is in operation have been clearly identified with visible signage at their respective entry points.
Please see the Surveillance systems section of our privacy policy for further information.

Guidance from our team

Our dedicated staff and security personnel work tirelessly to ensure everyone's safety. When they provide instructions or assistance, they do so with your wellbeing and comfort in mind.
We kindly request that you follow any directions provided by our team members. Their guidance is essential to maintaining a secure environment where everyone can feel protected and at ease throughout our sites.
Failure to comply with the above conditions may result in removal, banning or discharge from the Calvary site.
