Parking and transport

Travelling to and from Calvary Wakefield Hospital is easy for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers. Our hospital is located close to public transport facilities and has ample parking.

Calvary Wakefield Hospital is located at 300 Wakefield St, Adelaide SA 5000.

There is a patient drop off and pick up area at the entrance of Wakefield clinic, near Hudson’s. This a 10 minute zone, so please move your vehicle after the patient has safely arrived.

There is also a patient set down area at the Emergency Department entrance, but parking is not allowed in this location.

For a small fee parking is available to Calvary Wakefield Hospital patient’s relatives at the Factory Warehouse Apartment car park.

Please note: The car park is open Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 6.00pm  subject to availability. There is a time limit of 2 hours.

2 hour street parking is also available on Wakefield Street, Hutt Street and East Terrace.

Some concessions apply for the families and carers of long-stay patients who are in hospital for 10 days or more.

On-street motorbike parking bays are located near the hospital entrance on the street.

Disability parking bays can be found on Wakefield Street, Hutt Street and East Terrace.

Some veteran patients may be eligible to have transport arranged for them through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).

Buses make regular stops along Wakefield Street.

The Adelaide City Council provides a free city connector bus service (98) linking major facilities within the North Adelaide and Adelaide CBD area.

This service operates:

  • Monday to Thursday, 8am – 6pm
  • Friday 8am – 9.30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 10am – 5pm

Calvary Wakefield hospital provides a phone link with two taxi services that provide a priority service. These phones are located opposite reception and in Wakefield Clinic next to Hudsons.
