Calvary Rosanna Views and Lower Plenty aged care homes
Home Optimisation Program
Welcome to the Calvary Home Optimisation program project page.
This page will share updates as refurbishment works progress across our Rosanna Views and Lower Plenty aged care homes in Victoria.
These upgrades are part of Calvary’s ongoing investment in residential aged care, focused on improving environments for residents, families and staff, while increasing capacity to meet growing demand.
About the upgrades
The refurbishment works are designed to create more modern, comfortable and supportive aged care environments. This includes:

More private rooms to support dignity and independence

Refreshed bedrooms, bathrooms and shared spaces

Improved layouts to make spaces easier to navigate and use

Enhancements that support everyday living
These changes align with Calvary’s Environmental Design Guidelines, which focus on homelike settings, clear wayfinding and environments that support wellbeing.
Project progress
Works are now underway at Rosanna Views, with planning and early-stage works progressing at Lower Plenty.
The project includes:
Site walkthroughs and design development
Concept design and finishes selection
Documentation and tender process
Delivery of refurbishment works
The program is progressing through staged works, with delivery targeted across 2026.

Supporting residents during works
We understand that refurbishment works can impact daily life.
Our teams are working closely with residents, families and staff to ensure everyone remains safe, informed and supported throughout the process.
In some cases, residents may temporarily move rooms while works are completed, before returning to upgraded spaces.
We will continue to communicate clearly at each stage and work to minimise disruption wherever possible.

Next steps
Refurbishment works will continue across both homes as the program progresses through construction and delivery stages.
We are committed to minimising disruption wherever possible and will continue to share updates as key milestones are reached.
These upgrades are an important step in ensuring more people can access quality aged care in their local community.
By improving environments and increasing capacity, Calvary is supporting better care, comfort and quality of life for residents now and into the future.
