Named in honour of the popular sport, Trugo, which was invented in the 1920s by local railway workers, Calvary Trugo Place is a state-of-the-art residence close to amenities and public transport, keeping you connected with your local community.

This modern aged care home is purpose-built to provide the very best aged care services and support, including permanent aged care, respite care, palliative care services and dementia support.

Each of our 120 single rooms features free Wi-Fi, room service and their own private ensuite for ultimate accessibility and comfort. All our rooms are decorated to the highest standard, with modern bathrooms and contemporary décor throughout.

You’ll find well-balanced, nutritious dishes prepared by our award-winning chef, and a range of exciting facilities including contemporary living spaces, café and roof terrace where you can socialise with new friends or enjoy quiet relaxation.

Residents can also look forward to a diverse selection of activities and therapeutic sessions organised by our in-house lifestyle team including art therapy, regular social outings and themed celebrations. We even have our own Trugo lawn, so you can learn to play the sport invented by members of the Newport community.
