Year of the Nurse and Midwife
A number of activities are underway throughout Calvary during 2020 to celebrate the exceptional contribution of our midwives and nurses. The events are part of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) International Year of the Nurse and Midwife.
Thank you to all our midwives and nurses for the inspiring contribution you make towards improving the health and well-being of others.
Calvary is privileged to employ more than 5072 nurses and 148 midwives across Australia,
Nurses and midwives are critical to the delivery of quality health care, and many also contribute to building professional expertise.
Nikki Johnston (pictured above) is one such example. Nikki ‘s ground-breaking research to improve end of life care for older Australians living in residential aged care has been recognised nationally and internationally.
