How long have you been a midwife for? I was a midwife for 12 years before I commenced my role at Calvary North Adelaide.

How long have you been in your role at Calvary? I started in my role as Clinical Manager in November 2024.

Why did you want to become a midwife? Caring for women and their families in such a special and vulnerable time of their lives is a true blessing. I have always been drawn to helping others, and midwifery felt like the perfect career pathway for me. I am passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and advocating for women during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period. Being a midwife has been the most rewarding career in the world.

What do you enjoy most about your role? The role of a clinical manager is a challenging, yet rewarding role. I enjoy guiding and supporting our team, driving positive changes, and working as part of a wonderful team. Building relationships with our VMO’s, clients and staff is such a rewarding experience. I love learning new things each day, and working alongside wonderful people to foster safe midwifery care to our patients and families.

What's your favourite thing about being part of the team at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital? The sense of community the moment you step through the doors has been the best part about Calvary North Adelaide. From all the wonderful hospital coordinators, managers, admin team, orderly’s and all the staff, there is truly no place like it. It feels like working as part of a family! The history of the hospital is truly remarkable, and makes me feel so proud to be part of this team.
