Aged Care Assessment Team

If you need help at home or are considering moving into an aged care facility, you may need an assessment by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) that services the local government areas of Kogarah, Hurstville and Rockdale.

A member of the ACAT can talk to you about your current situation and determine if you are eligible to receive government subsidised services.

The ACAT servicing the local government areas of Kogarah, Hurstville and Rockdale is based at Calvary Health Care Kogarah.

You will need an ACAT assessment and approval if you want to:

  • Access aged care services through any level of Home Care Package
  • Receive Transition Aged Care goal orientated short term services if you are in hospital at the time of assessment
  • Receive access to respite care in a residential aged care facility
  • Move into permanent care in an aged care facility
