Calvary Rehabilitation Hospital has been designed so that everyone can easily access our facilities, using inclined walkways and ramps throughout.
We have clear, straightforward signage throughout the hospital to make it easier to find your way around. The signage uses contrasting colours to help people with impaired vision.

will arrange access between the hours of 6am and 10pm. The Courtyard adjacent to the kitchen is also utilised by therapy staff as part of the outdoor mobility retraining area.
This hospital is strictly non-smoking in all areas.
Should you feel the need for a little pampering during your stay we can arrange for a hairdresser to visit the hospital.
Calvary Rehabilitation Hospital has a hydrotherapy pool and gymnasium. The facility enhances the outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation services. The facility is supported by our team of experienced staff including allied health staff. A fully equipped outpatient therapy gymnasium is also located nearby the pool.
It is recognised that the warmth of the water in hydrotherapy treatment relieves pain, reduces muscle spasm and induces relaxation – allowing a greater range of movement and enhanced rehabilitation. The hydrotherapy pool will allow even the most fragile and mobility restricted clients the opportunity of purposeful movement and exercise, leading to a more rewarding lifestyle. Used in conjunction with our high quality rehabilitation service, which includes inpatient, outpatient therapy and community based services, we at Calvary aim to provide a more comprehensive rehabilitation program.
A bookcase is located near the mobility garden in the corridor at the eastern end. Please feel free to borrow the books during your stay.
Local newspapers are provided free of charge and may be ordered on your menu. They are delivered daily. National newspapers may be requested.
These will be charged to your account.
Outpatient rehabilitation programs are available to patients not currently in hospital. A range of programs that complement the inpatient programs offered at Calvary Rehabilitation Hospital are designed to assist you to regain quality of life, independence and functional ability.
Prior to commencing any of the programs, patients undergo an individualised assessment with the rehabilitation physician and members of the allied health team who will establish an individual plan of therapy, in consultation with other team members. Patient goals are then clarified collaboratively.
