Calvary Mater Newcastle Head and Neck Support Group meeting

Head and Neck Support Group meeting
This month we have the pleasure of Fiona Harris leading us in a therapeutic writing session.
Fiona has been one of our senior social workers here at the Mater for over 30 years and has a keen interest in the benefits of journaling. Research has shown that therapeutic writing can be a powerful tool in building psychological, emotional and physical wellbeing.
In this session with Fiona, we will be using an easy writing technique called “Direct Journaling”. No skills or ability in writing is required, and spelling and grammar do not matter. The writing is private; it is just for yourself. It is important to be able to write knowing that no one else will read it.
Please join us for what we expect will be a fun, interesting and thought provoking session. The only equipment needed for this group is a pen, Fiona will provide everything else.
The second hour will then provide an opportunity for you to talk to other people with similar experiences.
Please remember if you have a partner, friend or relative who would like to come they are most welcome.
