The journey begins! You've completed your studies, and now it's time to take the next step as a registered nurse.

The Calvary Mater Newcastle GradStart Transition to Practice Program is a 12-month, supportive and hands-on program designed to help you build confidence, develop clinical skills, and grow both personally and professionally.

You'll undertake two six-month rotations across a variety of specialty areas, specialities may include ICU, ED, theatres, palliative care, medical and surgical wards, and or cancer services. With shift work as part of the role, you'll gain real-world experience - and at the end of the program, you'll be offered a permanent full-time or part-time position.
