Calvary Home Care can help with basic tasks around the home and stay in the home overnight or for extended periods of time. We can also set up personal alarms and motion detectors linked to 24/7 monitoring for safety and security in the home.

How can I access support at home?
Calvary Home Care services can be provided on a private basis, as part of a government subsidised program or a combination of both. Contact 1300 797 522 to discuss your options.
All of Calvary Home Care’s services can be booked in privately as a self-funded client. You can also “top up” government funded services with one-off or regular private services.

A government subsidised Home Care Package is an allocation of funds enabling you to purchase products and services to support your independent lifestyle.
Home Care Package services are designed to support your independent living, health and wellness goals and include:
- Personal care: showering, personal grooming and mobility assistance
- Social support: companionship, hobbies and community activities
- Transport: to shops, appointments, social activities or events
- Clinical care: nursing and other health support
- Domestic assistance: cleaning, laundry and shopping
- House maintenance: and modifications
- Personal alarms: and emergency monitoring systems
- Mobility, independent living and continence aids
Are you eligible?
My Aged Care provides assessments through an Aged Care Assessment Team.

(Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat 10am-2pm) - ACAT will conduct an assessment and confirm your eligibility

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is a government-funded program, designed to help older people remain independent and stay in their homes and communities for longer. The CHSP also provides support for carers through in-home and centre-based respite services.
It’s suitable for those who want to stay in their own home, but need a little help with daily tasks or require entry-level care.
Through the CHSP, you may be eligible to receive domestic assistance, social support, help with meal preparation and transport to appointments.
Are you eligible?
My Aged Care provides a phone assessment and can book in a home support assessment.
- Call My Aged Care
Monday to Friday, 8am – 8pm, Saturday 10am – 2pm
- My Aged Care team will conduct a needs and eligibility screening over the telephone to identify which programs match your requirements and circumstances.
- A Regional Assessment Service will provide a home support assessment.
- Choose Calvary Home Care as your preferred provider.

Calvary Home Care is an approved provider with the NDIA.
Calvary Home Care can provide support with:
- Daily living at home
- Transport to activities
- Housework and cooking
- Giving your carer a break
- Pursuing interests, education and employment opportunities
Calvary also provides advocacy and case management.
This program is designed to help veterans and war widows or widowers who wish to continue living at home, but need a little practical help. It’s provided through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
The Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) program covers:
- Personal care: showering, personal grooming and mobility assistance
- Domestic assistance: cleaning, laundry and shopping
- Respite care
All Australian defence force veterans who have a Gold or White Repatriation Health Card and their war widows/widowers are eligible for a services assessment.
Accessing Calvary Support at Home services through the VHC
- To arrange an assessment for services, telephone a VHC assessment agency on 1300 550 450.
- Once services have been approved, Veterans’ Home Care will send a service plan to organisations such as Calvary Home Care to deliver the required services
The Home and Community Care program is a government subsidised program that enables older people to live independently at home in Victoria.
Services that can be provided under the HACC program include
- Personal care: showering, personal grooming and mobility assistance
- Social support: companionship and community access
- Transport: appointments and shopping
- Domestic assistance: cleaning, laundry and shopping
Calvary Home Care delivers HACC services on behalf of the City of Maroondah and the City of Greater Shepparton.
