Dr Wendy Cheung
Specialist Paediatric Dentist
Dr Wendy Cheung is a Specialist Paediatric Dentist and a Lecturer and course co-ordinator in Paediatric Dentistry at the School of Dentistry, University of Adelaide. She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry, and Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Paediatric Dentistry) degrees from the University of Adelaide. Wendy has worked as a Specialist Paediatric Dentist over the past ten years at Children’s Dentistry in Norwood, at Little Happy Tooth Co in Rose Park, as a past Paediatric Dentistry Consultant at the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and a staff specialist at the SA Dental Service. She was an examiner for the Australian Dental Council, had serviced as the Secretary of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (SA Branch) for many years, and a reviewer in peer reviewed public health and dental journals. Wendy has an interest in working with children with Special Needs and is a recipient of 2013, 2014, 2015 ADAF Wrigley Grant looking into improving oral care and health of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and children with Special Needs. Wendy is also currently carrying out research at the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health with a focus of oral health in Australian Indigenous Children.
