Susan – Being for others
Susan’s simple message below reminds us that simply ‘Being for Others’ brings many rewards for us also.
I started working in Calvary Community Care when it was Silver Circle, in 1999. I needed full time work, but also company. I was living on my own – my family had grown up and moved away.
I only knew how to do house work and had no other qualifications.
Calvary proved a great outlet and I would get to know the people in the community and at work.
I also learnt to be more conscientious about housework in other people’s homes!
The training has helped me build up my skills and knowledge of different illnesses. The work is not hard – the clients are very friendly and it is very enjoyable.
I’ve been working here for 18 years now.
