Calvary PEoLC Inaugural Research Day

On Monday 26th November, 45 researchers, clinicians and managers gathered at Calvary Health Care Kogarah for the inaugural Palliative and End of Life Care Research Day. The day was filled with a variety of presentations and discussions from Institute sites and external experts. Following a warm welcome from Drew Kear (General Manager) and Professor Liz Lobb (Chair, PEoLC Research Institute), Professor David Currow (UTS) opened the day with an insightful presentation about the importance and benefits of embracing clinical trials in palliative care. The diversity of PEoLC research at Calvary was then showcased in presentations by each of the four Institute sites (Kogarah, Bruce, Bethlehem and Mater Newcastle).
