Calvary welcomes the decision of the Auditor General to conduct an audit of Calvary Public Hospital’s Performance and Financial Reporting in order to provide an independent opinion on:

• the effectiveness of the contractual arrangement between the operators of Calvary Public Hospital and the ACT, including governance, financial and performance management; and
• the adequacy of actions taken by Little Company of Mary Health Care and Calvary Health Care to identify and correct work practices that resulted in the provision of incorrect financial information to ACT Health in 2013-14.

Calvary sees this audit as a positive opportunity to highlight the significant changes that have been introduced to improve our reporting and accountability; and the very positive outcomes we have been seeing not only in financial performance, but in patient flow, the timeliness and responsiveness of our services, and with respect to our activity reporting and performance.
