Description
The Meet & Greet Volunteer, located in the main foyer of both the Calvary St Lukes Hospital and Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital, will have the primary focus of assisting patients and visitors navigate the hospitals successfully.
With a combination of verbal directions, escorting a patient or referring them to Patient Administration, this role is entirely patient focused. The main tasks will include:
- Meeting patients and visitors as they arrive in the main foyer;
- Offering directions to ensure patients and other visitors navigate the hospital successfully;
- Escorting patients and visitors to their destination if required; and
- Delivering gifts to patients – such as flowers left at Patient Administration.
Requirements
- National Police Check
- Working with Vulnerable People Check
- Ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time and agility to escort others around the hospital
- Good hearing, understanding, and communication skills are essential
If you’re successful
- You will learn the layout of the hospital so your readily able to assist others
- Form a relationship with Patient Administration staff who work nearby
