National Volunteer Week 2022
National Volunteer Week is an opportunity for us to say thank you to our 1800+ volunteers and volunteer managers, who work to support our communities during what is an extraordinarily challenging time for all.
We are privileged to have a number of long serving volunteers, with the average length of time our volunteers spend with us, being just over seven years.
With the challenges of COVID-19, many of our volunteers continue to keep in touch with each other, and undertake other activities where possible, to support their communities.
Our volunteers include small business owners, tertiary students, home carers, police officers, teachers, managers, engineers, nurses, counsellors and retirees make up our number. Volunteers are matched to services that draw on their diverse range of skills and interests. Volunteer activities include Administration support, Courtesy Car, Dog Therapy, Eucharistic Ministry, Greeters / enquiry desk support, Hospitality, Library Trolley, Maintenance, Supply, Ward patient support and Biographers…
We thank our volunteers for their passion, commitment and dedication, and encourage you to read their stories and find out what makes them so special.
