What is a telehealth appointment?

A telehealth appointment uses a video call so you can meet with your Calvary clinicians when you’re at home.

You will need…

 Email with appointment details

 Wi-Fi or Internet Connection

 Quiet and well lit room

Privacy

To maintain privacy, the following is to be followed for both Calvary staff and attendee’s:

  • All participants must introduce themselves at the beginning of the call. We will need your full name and the reason for attending the call.
  • Anyone who enters the room during the call must introduce themselves as above.
  • We will ask for your consent prior to anyone from Calvary attending the consultation.
  • Recording of the consultation is to be agreed verbally between the attendees before recording commences. Any recording made is not permitted to be distributed outside those who attended the call.

The consultation will be documented in your medical record in the same manner as a consultation in person would be and is subject to the same legal requirements.

If we reasonably suspect that there are privacy breaches occurring during the consultation, the consultation will be terminated immediately.
