Dr Nicholas Marshall
Nicholas Marshall works as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon associated with Adelaide Plastic Surgery. His training comprised 4 years as an advanced trainee in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in a Royal Australasian College of Surgeons’ Accredited program in Adelaide. He obtained his fellowship of the RACS in May 2000. That same year he was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine for research from the University of Adelaide.
Subsequent training included a post fellowship position at Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland where he advanced his expertise in Head and Neck cancer management and reconstructive Head and Neck Surgery, cutaneous laser surgery, sentinel node biopsy for melanoma and Head and Neck Surgery, as well as all forms of Breast Reconstruction. This was followed by observerships at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York and Parkland Medical Centre in Dallas Texas. These were in aesthetic surgery and Head and Neck Surgery.
While a general plastic surgeon, he has special interests in facial aesthetic surgery (rhinoplasty, facelift) eyelid surgery – aesthetic and reconstructive; management of skin malignancy including melanoma, Head and Neck cancer management and reconstruction, hand surgery and all aspects of breast surgery – aesthetic and reconstructive.
He is a Senior Visiting Medical Specialist at Flinders Medical Centre where he has been intimately involved in the establishment of a Head and Neck Cancer multidsciplinary team.
