We offer a range of amenities at Calvary Central Districts Hospital including:

Calvary Central Districts Hospital has been designed so that everyone can easily access our facilities, using inclined walkways and ramps throughout. All levels of our hospital are accessible by lifts.

We have clear, straightforward signage throughout the hospital to make it easier to find your way around.

Wheelchairs are available for use while at the hospital. If you need a wheelchair, you can get one by asking the nurse caring for you.

If you’re in the car park and need a wheelchair, or assistance getting to or from your appointment, dial 08 8250 4111 for help.

CeeDee’s Café offers a selection of hot and cold meals and assorted beverages.

 7.30am – 5.30pm

Calvary Central Districts Hospital has a strong commitment to caring for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families. The pastoral care staff are committed to the spiritual wellbeing of patients. Members of the clergy visit on a regular basis from a wide range of denominations and visits can be arranged through the pastoral care team.

The Hospital chapel is located adjacent the ward area and is open 24 hours a day. Patients and family are welcome to visit any time for reflection or prayer.

Flowers and/or gifts will be delivered to your room as they are received.

There are some restrictions to flowers in some areas. We do apologise for the inconvenience if this occurs.

If your hospital stay includes restricitions, please ask your relatives and friends to send flowers once you have been transferred to the ward.

Free daily newspapers are available upon request.

At Calvary Central Districts Hospital we offer compassionate emotional support and spiritual care for you, your family and friends. Our Pastoral Care Program acknowledges your beliefs, important relationships and all that is meaningful for you. It affirms your intrinsic value as a person.

Pastoral Care can help if you are:

  • Suffering anxiety or emotional distress
  • Experiencing a time of crisis
  • Feeling lonely or isolated
  • Grieving a loss
  • Making important decisions
  • Needing support with your religious/spiritual practice
  • Preparing for death

If you would like a visit from Pastoral Care please ask a staff member.

HPS Pharmacy, the onsite dispensing pharmacy at Calvary Central Districts Hospital is open to the general public. They will provide discharged patients with a short supply of newly prescribed medications.

A phone is located at the bedside in all general wards. A direct line for each patient’s room is available.

Patients and visitors may use their mobile phone while at Calvary Central Districts. Please be considerate of other patients, and keep call volume, duration and frequency to a minimum.

Mail is delivered daily to each ward. Mail to be posted can be handed to reception before 2pm.

If you wish to receive mail during your stay the mailing address is  25-37 Jarvis Rd, Elizabeth Vale SA.

Any mail that may arrive for you after discharge will be readdressed to your home address.

A television is available for each bed space.  TV stations and FOXTEL can be accessed through channels on the televisions. Please ask our staff for more information.

If using your own radio, it is asked that you supply an earpiece to avoid disturbing other patients.

Vending machines are located in CeeDee’s Café.
