Ashleigh

Ashleigh joined Calvary as a Community Care Support Worker (SW) having completed her Certificate III in Aged Care. Ashleigh chose then to undertake a Diploma In Nursing (Enrolled Nursing) and successfully completed her course in June 2018. Her next goal was to secure a Graduate Nurse role in an acute hospital.

Our congratulations to Ashleigh who has recently secured one of two graduate nurse roles with Calvary St Vincent’s Hospital in Launceston!

We asked Ashleigh a few questions, and she had the following to say:
I joined Calvary Community Care because it has always been a dream to work at Calvary.  I value their mission, the loyalty they give to their employees and their ambition on working as a team to achieve goals.  I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and am going to miss it like crazy – it’s definitely an option to coming back to community care in the future.  The best things working as a SW is gaining relationships to not only the clients but to their families and with the Calvary team who have been super supportive with my studies and they’ve been like a second family to me.  Another best thing was visiting my clients in their home where they feel comfortable in their own environment and they can still be independent in their daily lives.  I will miss my clients dearly and can’t thank them enough for always putting a smile on my face.
