Calvary Health Care Hobart is seeking an experienced and motivated dietitian to join their health care team.

The successful applicant will have sound clinical knowledge and experience providing nutritional assessment, care and support to patients in surgical and medical wards (Lenah Valley Campus- 0.4 FTE) and a rehabilitation unit (St Johns campus 0.1 FTE).

Essential Criteria

- Bachelor of Science/Applied Science plus Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics or Master Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
- Eligible for Membership of the Dieticians Association of Australia
- Proven degree of excellence in communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Desirable Criteria

- 2 years Clinical experience
- Experience working in a hospital setting

The 21 bed Oncology, Haematology & Palliative Care Unit at St Johns Hospital provides both palliative care nursing & haematological & chemotherapy treatment for both day patients and inpatients.

The multidisciplinary team consists of Nurses, Therapists, Pastoral Care Workers and Social Workers who work together with the VMOs to achieve functional gains for patients.

We are seeking a motivated nursing professional to provide clinical leadership and direction to improve the quality and continuity of care provided to clients diagnosed with cancer and haematological diseases across the continuum of care. This Registered Nurse would also provide a pivotal point of contact for care of people at diagnosis & provide clinical expert advice to other staff. The aim would be to coordinate the patients journey from diagnosis through treatment and discharge from hospital.

If you are an experienced Cancer Care Nurse looking for an opportunity to demonstrate and develop your leadership potential, this may be the opportunity you are looking for.

The successful applicant will have the ability to demonstrate:

- Clinical leadership
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
